(And our first beer tasting.) \n— Tour ‘em: We’ll jump on buses to explore local gardens to learn all the ways we’re growing healthy food\, resilient communities and green jobs on Florida’s edible urban frontier. Every garden will feature a different craft beer tasting — and garden educators will be on each bus and at each farmlette to satisfy your inquisitive minds. \n— Taste ‘em: We’ll finish our outdoor adventure at Brick Street Farms where we’ll get a guided tour of St. Pete’s shipping container hydroponic farm which produces 10 acres of fresh food every 30 days. The USFSP Brewing Arts Program will showcase their students’ most recent “homework” (vote for your favorite!)\, and we’ll tempt you to stay and play with additional beer tastings\, food trucks and live music. \nHosted by the Open Partnership Education Network (OPEN)\, the Sustainable Urban Agriculture Coalition (SUAC)\, and USFSP’s Brewing Arts Program. \nYep. We Dig St. Pete. (literally – and – figuratively) Find out why you should too! \nTickets are $10 for Adults and $5 for children under 10.
