DESCRIPTION:We could all use a vacation from 2020. Speculative Futures Orlando wants to whisk you away to the future as we reimagine Florida tourism.\nWhat will tourism in Florida look like in 20 years? Will the same old players dominate\, or will a new generation of entrepreneurs transform the industry? Can we create a sustainable\, equitable future for tourism in the face of climate change? Will the current pandemic fundamentally alter the way people travel?\nWe’ll be exploring these questions using art and stories created by the Practopia Project with the help of some of Orlando’s top theme park designers and artists. This workshop will be the first in a series of public events to reimagine our community’s preferred futures for tourism.\nThere is little doubt that tourism will look very different by 2040. Now is the time to lend your voice and imagination to help create that future.
