SUMMARY:Go Local Campaign Meeting for Central Florida
DESCRIPTION:It’s been proven that local prosperity is increased by keeping money within the local economy. https://www.amiba.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/independents-comparative-2013-2015-sales-increase-rev100.png Central Florida is a unique and diverse region that would benefit from a long-term “go local” campaign. Spending money with local retailers helps keep the local community alive. The places where we eat\, shop\, and have fun all have the potential to make a community feel like home. “One-of-a-kind” businesses are a fundamental part of the distinctive character of a community – which is evident in the popularity of neighborhoods such as Avalon Park\, Baldwin Park\, Celebration\, etc.\, where people can conduct business\, socialize and go to school all in the same community.

SUMMARY:Social Entrepreneurship Education Day (SEED)
DESCRIPTION:The second Social Entrepreneurship Education Day is scheduled for Earth Day 2019\, Monday April 22\, from 8:30am-3pm. Social entrepreneurship\, and the change that it yields is one of the fastest growing areas within the field of entrepreneurship. Most people\, no matter what their age or stage in life desire to feel a sense of purpose with what they are doing\, and to positively contribute to making our world better. There are various elements that make up social change (social innovation (an idea)\, social entrepreneurship (a mindset)\, and social enterprise (a business).  At its most basic level\, social entrepreneurship is about doing business (for or nonprofit) for a social cause.
