๐ŸŒผThis immersive, intimate-styled microconference is perfect for plant and nature lovers that prefer a small group size. Together with the large kick-off meeting in the evening, this micro-conference makes for a ‘complete day’ experience.

๐ŸŒฟA private guided tour of Leu Gardens with Dr. Robert Bowden, director of Leu Gardens (11am)

4 unique short presentations (~12pm-4pm):
๐ŸŒฟ Deirdre Irwin, from St Johns Water Management District, discussing the future of Florida water supply and conservation
๐ŸŒฟ Jordan Dowell, PhD candidate at University of Central Florida, presenting on organic plant volatile compounds
๐ŸŒฟ Dr. Don Spence, from Bethune-Cookman University, discussing proper tree care and management
๐ŸŒฟ Prem Subrahmanyam, renowned Florida native orchid specialist, presenting on the influence of fire on certain orchid species

Please bring a bagged snack and any note-taking material if needed. We break at 4pm before the main, larger scale event with Dr. Craig Huegel who will be presenting on plant-light interactions in the adjacent Magnolia ballroom at 6:30pm.
