The Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Partnership is hosting a public event to share knowledge, showcase climate action, engage leadership across sectors, and mobilize collaboration throughout Central & Southwest Florida. It will feature innovative thinkers to exchange dialogue and ideas on expanding the region’s capacity to respond to climate challenges, and towards building increased climate resiliency.
The 2022 Southwest Florida Climate Summit will be held as a two-day hybrid event on April 7th & 8th from 9am to 4:30 pm. Attendees can register to attend virtually through Zoom or in-person at the Collaboratory in Fort Myers.
Event Details
The Summit will feature speakers from the federal and state government, local universities and organizations, and Native nations. These include:
Florida’s Chief Resilience Officer, Wesley Brooks
Miami Chief Resilience Officer, Jim Murley
and the Chief of the Army Corps of Engineers Water Resources Engineering branch, Jason Engle
