This 1/2 day workshop focuses on guiding purpose driven enterprises to develop their elevator pitches and to brainstorm on growing the values-based community through local outreach programs. Design thinking exercises will be used to generate ideas that can be implemented with a shoe-string budget but with maximum impact.
Led by Rosanna Garcia, Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Denver and Emily Medley Landry, Sociology PhD candidate at the University of Tennessee, both founding members of the B Academic Community. Rosanna has consulted with aspiring B Corp companies since 2014 and Emily’s dissertation research focuses on the obstacles and opportunities B Locals are facing around the United States. Pre-and post-workshops surveys will be administered to help stimulate conversation. This outreach is supported by grants from the American Marketing Association and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. The $25 workshop fee will cover materials (may be waived if needed). Minimum of 10 attendees needed to run the program.
