Dr. Kristin Joys, Director, UF’s Social Impact & Sustainability Initiative invites you to the Final Presentations & Awards Celebration on April 22 at 2pm. 36 graduate business students, serving as Consultants, took a deep dive into 9 different companies and led them through the B Impact Assessment in order for the companies to earn B Corp Certification.
Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. B Corporation certification is to business as Fair Trade is to coffee, USDA Organic to apples, or LEED to green building.
Florida For Good is providing 2 awards to be used towards certification fees for the first year. Inspired by the global B Corp movement, Florida For Good is for any business contributing to greater good – because with society’s infinite challenges and goals, it’s imperative for businesses to take on some responsibility, and lead endeavors where we can.
